A young woman, about 29 i think, got abducted and murdered in Melbourne by a 41yr old rotting piece of meat - with a penis - no brains, no qualms, no empathy but a penis and a mind attached to that penis. At least that is what my first impression is.
What makes it so disturbing is that there was this girl, attached to her family, with a partner she has been with for about a third of her life, with a job in a fantastic firm, just back from a holiday - and all of it just blasted away, gone, poof!! How does one make sense of it?
Some people go thru their entire life with no dramas, others with harmless dramas all their life, and others just get struck by lightening - what is the common thread? if the universe is fair (and kind?) and all those other things that gives us hope to continue living and not jump off the top of a tall building - then how? why do these things keep blasting so close to our skin, and reminds us how close we are to the line of fire? i do not want to live in fear, i should not have to live in fear!!
Give me a philosophy that explains it, that tells me that she did not suffer, that the ones left behind will not suffer, that i will never suffer, and the ones i love will never suffer.
